One day the tide had washed up thousands of starfish that were riddled across the sea shore. They needed water. They were dying. A boy saw this and he started throwing those starfish one by one back into the ocean. A man said, “Boy, why are you spending your time doing that? There are thousands of them…what you are doing will never make a difference.”
